Returns
Fabric is cut to the length you ask for, which affects what we can take back. Worth two minutes before you order.
Cut lengths
When you order three metres, three metres are cut from a roll for you. That piece is made to your specification, so — like anything cut, mixed or made to measure — it falls outside the standard 14-day right to cancel that covers off-the-shelf goods. We can't take it back simply for a change of mind, because it can't be sold on to anyone else.
This is normal across the fabric trade rather than anything unusual to us, but we'd far rather say it plainly here than have it come as a surprise.
So look at it on your own chair first
Screens lie about colour. They're backlit, they're calibrated differently, and a grey-green cloth can read as flat grey in one room and distinctly green in another. A photograph of a swatch tells you even less, because colour only means anything next to the things it will actually sit beside.
That's why we built the visualiser. Photograph your chair, pick a cloth, and see the piece re-covered before you commit to a length. It's free, and it takes about a minute.
If you're torn between two or three, try them all on the same photograph. Seeing them against your own floor, your own walls and your own light is the single best way to avoid an expensive mistake.
Order it all at once
Fabric is dyed in batches, and two batches of the same cloth can differ very slightly in shade — enough to notice when two panels sit side by side on the same chair. So work out everything you need, including a little spare for matching a pattern, and order it in one go. If you come back for another metre later we'll do our best, but we can't promise it will come off the same roll.
Not sure how much you need? Our fabric calculator will get you close, or drop us a line with the piece and we'll work it out with you.
If it's faulty, wrong or damaged
That's different, and none of the above applies. If the cloth arrives flawed, short of the length ordered, damaged in transit, or simply isn't what you ordered, tell us within a few days and we'll replace it or refund you. Your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
Please check the cloth carefully against your order before you cut into it. Once it's been cut we have almost no way to put things right, and neither does the mill.
Full, uncut rolls
If you've bought a complete roll and it's still sealed and unopened, get in touch — sometimes we can return it, though not always, and there may be a handling charge from the mill. Ask before you assume.
Talk to us
We're two people in a workshop, not a call centre. If something isn't right, email us and we'll sort it out between us.
